DPT 101    

  In this course you will learn the basics of self protection with pistol and also learn options for preventing or lessening the chances of being attacked on the streets, in the home or in the automobile.

  This course will refine your shooting techniques and will include steps for retaining your firearm when someone atempts to steal it from your holster.

    You will be famalirized with shooting from behind barriers and over barriers as well as close assault, FORCE ON FORCE and much more.

MATERIALS FOR COURSE:

Servicable Revolver OR Semi-Automatic

Proper Holster

100 rounds for the firearm to be used

(ammo must be of the standard target practice type)

Safety Glasses

Hearing Protection

Hydration Kit

Proper Clothing appropriate to the weather.

Sun Screen if Needed

Insect repellant if needed

Shoes or Boots

(comfortable for jogging and or walking. No sandles or open toed footwear)

Hat

(Baseball Type)

DPT 101

This course is a one day course given on the shooting range. It is for those that are already familiar with their handguns. It covers safety procedures, how to shoot under stress, basics of shooting when someone breaks into your home or hijacks your vehicle. It is geared for those that may come under attack from a suspect, how to retain your firearm when carrying concealed. This course will give you the basic tactical skills necessary to survive and win a self-defense confrontation in the home, street or in your vehicle. This course is the building block for the next level of training DPT 102.

Immediate action for malfunctions

Speed Drills

Flash Sighting

Point Sighting

Retaining your Firearm

Shooting from Barriers

*This class is limited to seven students per relay. Fourteen students to the class.

This gives a one on one type instructor environment for training at its best.
