WHAT IS FORCE ON FORCE?
Force on Force (FOF) is realistic training. It puts you as close as we can come to the actual encounter that you may come into contact with on the streets when someone assaults you.
In using FoF we try to make everything as real as we can. The tried and proven method for this through LEO programs has been the AirSoft weapons such as realistic handguns and rifles as well as shotguns. These give a real feeling to the encounter. It actual stings when you're hit so you know right off hand that you have been hit.
The airsoft doesn't stain the equipment nor your cloths so you may wear regular clothing. With the proper safetry equipment, it is the most safe method known today. We incorporate FoF in our DPT 102 Course in order to prepare you for the drills within the MPT advanced courses. FOF is used extensively in these courses.
The DPT course does not incoporate the FoF training, because it prepares you for the proper procedures of defensive pistol tactics that you will be using with the FOF in the more advanced courses..
ABOUT TRAINING FORCE ON FORCE
We use FoF to make the tress factor somewhat equal to the actual assault that may take place on the streets, In so doing, you will actually get the chance to shoot at your partner and see how the real timing of these assaults happen. In 2.2 seconds an assault is over with usually. So you must gear up on your drawing techniques and shoot your partner before he or she can shoot you.
In FoF we have the most strict safety rules that can be administered and still get the job done. You will get two days of shooting in the DPT 102 Course and lots more in the MPT Courses. You will be tired out at the end of the second day, but your shooting skills will be top of the line, we guarantee you!
In these courses you will be timed by electronic technology. You will have only a few seconds to decide if you shoot or not shoot. You must be aware of citizens on the street and make use of what ever cover is available for these courses. By logging your time each time you go through the drills you will see if you are improving or not.
You never know what you may encounter on the streets. It may be a knife, revolver, semi-automatic, rifle, shotgun, uzi or who knows what they have out there. Be careful for you may encounter the same firepower right here at GSOS!!
